Monarch Academy Annapolis hosts Whole Brain Teaching National Conference
ANNAPOLIS—Monarch Academy Annapolis will host the 11th annual Whole Brain Teaching National Conference from July 16 to 19 for teachers of prekindergarten through 12th grade.
The free conference will consist of two days, July 16 to 17, devoted to prekindergarten through third-grade education followed by two days, July 18 to 19, devoted to fourth- through twelfth-grade education. Presentations and breakout sessions will address Whole Brain Teachers of America’s “Seven Steps to Teaching Heaven” and cover topics including learning games, character education, classroom rules and class motivation.
According to Whole Brain Teaching Director Chris Biffle, “The road to Teaching Heaven is paved with WBT learning games!”
Established in 1999 by Biffle and two other teachers, Whole Brain Teachers of America has given seminars to 50,000 educators representing 1,500,000 students. The organization’s Amazon.com-bestselling books, “Whole Brain Teaching for Challenging Kids” and “Whole Brain Teaching: 122 Amazing Games!,” has been translated into Chinese and Korean, and its YouTube videos have received over 8 million views.
The organization’s latest book, “Whole Brain Teaching Fast Track: Seven Steps to Teaching Heaven,” is an Amazon.com bestseller in three categories: special education, instruction methods and education theory.
Whole Brain Teachers of America partnered with Monarch Academy Annapolis, an affiliate of TranZed Alliance, to hold the conference. Monarch Academy Annapolis and TranZed Alliance, including other Monarch Academy schools and The Children’s Guild, provide brain-based education, ensuring students engage the whole brain during instruction, from gathering and processing information to solving problems and applying new knowledge to different situations.
